Bette Oliver grew up in Arlington, Virginia and was the oldest of eight children. She completed college and worked as a computer programmer. She has one son, Darrell, four grandchildren, and one great grandchild.
She enjoys playing softball, bowling, watching sports in person and on the television. She has been a dog lover all her life.
She stays up to date on current events and politics; she also enjoys vacations at the beach and spending time with her family.
