Ms. Ruby Shifflett was born and raised in Madison County along with her four siblings. She attended Madison County schools. She grew up on the Woodberry Forrest campus in Madison County as her father was a Headmaster at Woodberry Forest School for Boys for many years.
Ruby has four children, two girls and two boys, and six grandchildren that she is very proud of. She shared with worker that her greatest accomplishment in life has been working for Mr. Buck Early at Crown Automotive in Orange for twenty-five years as a secretary. Ruby has many fond memories of her years spent working for Mr. Early.
During her leisure time she enjoys reading her daily newspaper, attended a variety of musical programs and attending weekly worship services. Ruby has been a resident at Dogwood Village since January 2019.
