Mr. Sherwood Parrott was born and raised in Quinque, a community in Green County, VA. He attended William Monroe High School and worked on his family farm until he was drafted into the Army in 1942.
After 3 years in the military he returned home and went to work for the telephone company. He retired from telephone company after 37 years of service.
Mr. Parrott and his wife, Druscilla, raised one daughter, Cynthia in their home they purchased in Gordonsville, VA. Mr. Parrott has been a member of the Masons of Gordonsville for the past 70 years.
He has a large group of supportive friends that visit with him often and he enjoys playing bingo during his leisure time. Mr. Parrott has been a resident at Dogwood Village Health & Rehab since August of 2018. He is pictured here with his “feathered cousins” as he refers to them.
