William Bland Davis was born and raised in Raleigh, North Carolina and graduated from Cardinal Gibbons Catholic High School. He stated working at the age of 14 for the Raleigh News and Observer. He graduated from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1972 where he earned several degrees in philosophy and psychology and went on to further his education by attending Lenoir-Rhyne University, earning a degree in teaching, science and social studies.
Mr. Davis worked night shift at Wake Memorial Hospital in the x-ray department for several years. He later moved to Madison Co., Virginia where he married and raised his two daughters.
His daughter, Ariel, is an employee at our facility. Mr. Davis worked for The Orange Review newspaper as well as American Press for 18 plus years. Mr. Davis is very artistically oriented and has a strong passion for photography, travel, discovery and learning. During his leisure time he enjoys watching programs on his Amazon firestick and keeps in touch with family and friends via email. He is pictured with volunteer Kyle Johnson.
