Senior Living Resident Spotlight – Evelyn “Trudy” Boggs


Evelyn “Trudy” Boggs was born in Rochester, PA. to Charles and Eleanor Curtis. She is the middle child of 2 brothers Donald and Thomas. Trudy married Thomas Kelley Boggs and they resided in Aliquippa, PA for over 60 plus years. Trudy and Thomas have 4 children. Susan (Washington), Cheryl (Texas), Sandy (Virginia) and Scott (Pennsylvania).


They have 11 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. She has several grandchildren in the military that she is extremely proud of. One of them is stationed in Germany.


Trudy was mainly a homemaker, but she did work for the company Weight Watchers for several years. She was very active in her church in Pennsylvania and continues to enjoy going to daily devotions and church services since moving to Dogwood Village. Trudy enjoyed sewing and sewed hundreds of hats for her granddaughter and local hospitals for their surgical staff. One of Trudy’s favorite hobbies is collecting nutcrackers. Her favorite ones are displayed in her room, and she enjoys sharing them and their stories with visitors.
