Mrs. Mabel Nell Denny, formerly known as Mabel Riley was one of ten children. Mabel grew up with five brothers and four sisters. After graduating from high school Mabel went to work for C&P Telephone Company of Virginia and worked there for nearly 40 years.
Mabel met her future husband at the age of 18 at a dance but the two parted ways and reconnected years later.
Mabel’s husband William worked as a lawyer and together they built a very comfortable life for themselves. Mabel and William shared a beautiful marriage for over 30 years at the time of William’s untimely passing in an automobile accident.
Though Mabel never had any children she does have a niece whom she’s very close with. Mabel’s single greatest accomplishment in life is the loving marriage with her husband William.
